Institute of Open and Distant Education
The Institute of Open and Distant Education (IODE) was established in 2004 on the basis of the Center of Distant Education. The IODE is a rapidly growing subdivision of South Ural State University which aims to create information and educational environment of the University and integrate distant technologies into activities of all University subdivisions. The Institute of Open and Distant Education
- has formed a system of personnel training on the use of distant technologies in a teaching process
- provides technical support of online student training
- renders methodological assistance in the creation of electronic academic resources
- conducts research studies on methods of distant education
- to organize virtual Open Days
- to organize and hold Internet conferences
- to broadcast and record popular scientific lectures of leading University lecturers
- to conduct advanced training courses in the field of e-learning
